Burton Mixer & Mfg., Inc. has been manufacturing weigh hoppers since the early 1970's. This type of weigh hopper is designed to work with Burton Mixers in an in-line or right angle setup. Our weigh hoppers handle any type of dry material that needs to be batched. Burton models stand out from the competition when it comes to being horizontal, the quality and durability of the equipment and being cost efficient. To increase performance, Burton Weigh Hoppers use a screw drive, rather than a belt. This feature cuts maintenance by reducing leakage at the bottom, ensuring that your material ends up in the mixer, not on the ground!
Burton offers two different styles of the standard 9x7 model. There is a maximum load height of 90" on a six-ton unit, down to 66" on a 3-ton unit. Burton also offers two lo-profile units, a six and eight-ton unit. The load height on the six-ton unit is 72" and the eight-ton unit has a 87" load height. All Burton Hopper units come with a 7.5 or 10 horsepower three-phase 230/460 motor, driving a number three double reduction gearbox that drives the discharge auger. All units are supplied with a digital readout enclosed in stainless steel.
